Love it, although a little large
I'm new to journaling and ordered this Bible so I wouldn't have to create all the art. Pros - I like the soft cover. The font is readable. There's a good balance of pictures to color and blank margins. The pages are more white than cream. Blank margins are lined. Cons - The size - it will stay home on the kitchen counter as it's too big to take to church and sit on my lap as a note-taking Bible. I suppose that's the trade off for the larger print. My favorite markers so far are the Zig double tipped writers which don't bleed through the pages. PrismaColor pencils are also great. Don't waste your money on the Accu-Gel highlighters that pop up to buy with every journaling Bible.
First I was amazed at the shipping time
First I was amazed at the shipping time. I ordered at 10:45 p.m. and it arrived at my doorstep 9:32 a.m. the following day, less than 12 hours after I purchased it! It comes in a hard box. The cover is soft; I love the purple in the front which extends to the back (see photos). The 10 point font is easy to read. For comparison, the bible was placed on my kitchen counter when I took the photos, not zoomed, so I can read it from that length. If the print is fuzzy, it's because I didn't focus. The sides of the pages looks like it's dusted in silver, perfect for someone like me who loves bling. Inside contains "hundreds" of pages for coloring; I'll just take their word for it. I showed a full page and one with just the sides. The margins that are empty of writing/picture have lines on them for notes. I also like that the paper is white vs. the cream color. When you see the two together, the cream pages just don't look as "neat" or "clean." I also showed a completed cover page with my attempt at using colored pencils. I see that the price has steadily increased. I forgot to pre-order, but I think it was less than $40 if I had done it. I paid $40.79, and I see it's now almost $44. Since this bible is NIV, the version I grew up with and am used to, and it's large print for these old eyes, I'm hoping this will be my last bible. Happy coloring!
Its a wonderful idea and it really is a lovely Bible
I was torn by how to rate this. Its a wonderful idea and it really is a lovely Bible. But... I have tried several types of gell pens and my copic markers, and anything wet will pucker the pages and definitely shows on the other side. The only thing really that works well are my prismacolored pencils (the only brand of pencils I tried). So if you are a colored pencil user you'd likely give this 5 stars, and a pen or marker user would be quite frustrated. The book is heavy, but I expected that in a large print Bible with slightly thicker paper and lots of extra pages for coloring. Another issue is that if you color with gell pens, drying this paper takes 30 minutes or more before it is no longer tacky and dry enough to close the book. Ylu have to be very careful or your pages will be a smudged mess. All in all, I love the Bible, and the idea of a coloring Bible, but it is difficult to use this in that way.
The very best bible Journal out there!
I bought this for my friend since I love it so much! She loves it too! I love the fact that I can write my notes from my bible study on the side of the scriptures. The pages are a white/light cream unlike most other of the other journals I've seen at Book stores. Most of the others have a neon yellowish pages which hurts my eyes...even though some claim to be a "cream" color. This is the very best journal bible I have seen. I'm not into coloring ( yet), just writing my notes! Love, love, love it.
Beautiful journaling Bible!
This is a wonderful Bible if you enjoy coloring Scripture that’s pre-printed, as 500 pages have verses to color. Every page has wide, lined margins, so in those that are blank, there is plenty of room for your own writings or artwork. The cover is beautifully embossed, soft and supple. A little heavy for church, but a pleasure to read at home and journal in.

Love this! Very beautiful book. Has room for notes on side. The twistable coloring pencils works great with it. It is a large size book but it’s perfect and everything I have wanted!
Gift for my sister and she loved it!
Gorgeous, large and heavy. But large print and plenty of space for Journaling and coloring. My sister loves it. 4 stars because of the weight. But that may be a plus for some people.
Not a large print bible...what a shame
Opened the box and it was not a large print Bible it was regular sized print. The print was so small. The Bible is constructed Beautifully but if you are looking for a large print Bible to enjoy this is not the one. I'll have to give it away as, I'm not able to return it.
The perfect Bible!
Perfect size print-10 point, lots of margin space and tons of words and designs to color in. And what's perhaps most important-pretty lightweight for a large Bible. The color combo is a beige with more of a lavender/violet than in the photo.
Love It
I love it so much. I can easily read the words and love being able to color the pages as I read and meditate on God's word. It is a beautiful bible and I will treasure it forever.
