I received this Good Grips Swivel Peeler and cannot be more satisfied, I love using this peeler for vegetables and fruits. I usually cut and peel potatoes with a knife and this just makes things super fast, obviously the blade is sharp so make sure you know how to use this when you are using it. Peeling potatoes cuts the process majorly, I will always recommend these types of peelers. The handle makes this peeler easy to maneuver while your hands get wet from the juices released from the potatoes, cucumbers, ect. I would not change peelers for anything I used to have a metal peeler like this without the grip and got blisters so I thought I would give this a try, and man I love it.

I really love this peeler and I wish I had purchased it sooner. This is a very comfortable peeler for hands that have rheumatoid arthritis and it peels perfectly. I use it for vegetables and to zest lemons. It peels the outer layer of the lemon perfectly but does not peel the white pith. This peeler works great on carrots, zucchini, cucumbers, ginger root, turmeric root. It doesn't waste any of the vegetable, it just removes the skin, in one pass, perfectly every single time.

This really is, IMO, a TERRIFIC peeler! It's sharp as a razor and, even though I don't do all the fancy-schmancy television techniques, it's still, by far, the best peeler I've ever used. (I can get only so frenzied about peeling vegetables, to be perfectly honest...) Let me add that I take one along whenever I'm going to stay somewhere with a kitchen I'm expected to utilize (along with a good chef's knife, some parchment paper, and an egg timer). I accidentally left one at a condo rental a few months ago, and immediately ordered a replacement. I have two at home, and use them all the time.

We certainly have lost some pizzazz in our lives when reviewing a potato peeler is the highlight of a day, but WOW! I finally used this one today and (aside from adding a chunk of knuckle to the beef stew) it was a great experience! I paid five bucks for one at the grocery store a few months ago to replace the peeler I'd had half my life and couldn't get used to peeling toward my belly. It was so dull it wouldn't have done much damage anyway, but this one by OXO is like finding a long-lost friend! It WORKS! It peels away in long neat strips! Yay for new potato peelers!

OXO products always good - this peeler included. I tried to peel 7 big yams at Christmas (with a friend's peeler) and it took forever. That prompted me to buy an OXO peeler, and give it a try. It's a world of difference. So is their kettle, their scrubbers, their sink grates, etc.

Sharp and maybe the best peeler I've used. I've been through five or six these past two years. I'm picky and peel vegetables every night. Love this peeler. It's waaay better than the KitchenAid one I got (thankfully at Marshalls) and though I like the plain metal ones of the same shape I love the OXO handle. I have a t shaped one, don't know the brand, and the OXO is better than that. I had one I bought at the supermarket, broke in a couple of months, and one from a dollar store that never worked at all. I should know better but was desperate. I had the as seen on TV one that came with the weird non-metal knife and was also non metal. That was t shaped, too, and I think I just don't trust it because the knife chipped fairly quickly and we went through an entire stew thinking we were going to eat the fragment.

Love this apple corer! We have an abundance of apples that I needed to peel and core. I've tried messing with the clamp on apple peeler corer gadget, but I couldn't make it work. I decided to look for an alternative and here it is! I can peel super fast but the coring by hand always made my apple pieces too small. With this device all you have to do is stick it in the apple wiggle a little and push down on your cutting board and Voila! Too bad our local Walmart didn't have anything like this. Glad Amazon is there!

Best peeler I have ever owned .I have to get use to not using so much effort in peeling or shredding .The blade is very sharp , the first couple times I used the peeler I cut my fingers .I have many other kitchen tools by oxo and always good products .Don't hesitate on this one , spend the extra couple dollars you won't regret it.

We used our Henckles Twin Cuisine Peeler (purchased in 2008 for about 10-bucks but no longer available) swivel tool as both a vegetable peeler and a coring tool but the coring ultimately did it in. I guess the years of use and the additional leverage used to pry out potato eyes and insect holes in hard fruit like apples and pears was just too much for it and the price of replacing it with the same tool was just way too expensive. We opted for doing it with two tools and this was one of them and it turned out to be an excellent choice and I have absolutely no complaints with it. Actually, the price of the combined tools was less than buying another Hencklels. There’s not much you can say about a tool like this other than it does the job, it feels good in the hand and not using the same tool for peeling and coring seems to be a much better choice.

I have been looking & looking for one of these little gadgets. I was so excited to come across this OXO Good grips apple corer. I have an big apple peeler/corer but really didn't like the cranking that I have to do with it or the mess it makes.I do a lot of canning & wanted to just get the core out & then run the rest of the apple through my Juicer & then Mill it but it was so much work before. A friend showed me how she did it with just taking the cores out & Boy was it was easier. using the corer by OXO is much quicker, less messy & retains more of the fruit. Very Very Glad I purchased this. Its sturdy & held up well to my 50lbs of apples
